Question is: is it a best practice to use two 10Gb HBAs for vmotion? is it correct to see them under storage adapters also as unclaimed? How the zoning for those HBAs have to be configured?
Now you see that is your real question You have 4x10Gb port HBA. Of these you have used 2 for Storage configuration. The reason you are seeing the other 2 as Unclaimed, because, you cannot configure network on them. However, you need to use them for Storage only.
Its a FCOE card which supports networking/storage over network. However, you can use them for fully networking or fully storage over networking. Not both at the same them
I suggest you to use some other vmnic for vmotion preferrably a 1Gbps or 10Gbps [different nic] for vmotion portgroup.
