I made a new test, installing Fedora 18 64 bit on a new VM.

I installed using the default for installed components.

After logging on and su I entered the commands:

yum install gcc

yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel

After conpleting the installation I noticed that the installed version (uname -r) is reported as 3.6.10-4.fc18.x86_6a while kernel-devel was installed as kernel-devel-3.7.6-201.fc18.x86_64

Is it correct?

The folder /usr/src/kernels/'uname -r'/include (as suggested in another forum) exists: could it be be the right one for VMware Tools setup?

Regards

marius
