So to get my guest OS running on a fixed IP address, it looks like I can do either of the following?

1. Set the HOST's IP address to the required static IP address, and set the guest OS's Network Adapter type to NAT, or

2. Set the HOST's IP address to be assigned automatically, set the guest OS's Network Adapter type to Bridged, and set's IP to the required address.
